A planned walk in the woods for when I fall in love.

I am so glad we paid no attention to the rain earlier and met for that walk in the woods. The weather was a little cool, but turned out to be perfect for our little adventure. Your face was glowing as we met at the entrance to the woods. I could tell it was going to be something special today, but had no idea just how special it would become.

I am glad you took my jacket to stop your shivering. It was a stroke of genius on my part to bring it when I was already so warmly dressed. The cool wind blowing in the newly leafed trees beckoned us to enter the path and take the adventure laid before us. You seemed so fascinated with the little star shaped flowers of yellow and orange that grew next to the path. The little flowers seemed to burst into bloom as you and I bent closer to see them. When we stood up and almost bumped heads, and I stood next to you listening to your musical laughter, I knew that sometime during this walk I would try to kiss you. I also knew by the sparkle in your eye that you would let me.

It was so funny how you giggled when I bumped the bunch of wild purple flowers against your nose and the tiny drops of rain still clinging to the petals landed on your nose and cheeks. You looked so surprised that I would do something so silly and yet so provocative. As we walked hand in hand, stopping once in a while to sit on a well-placed bench and exchange little stories, I loved looking into your eyes. I don’t remember if I told you or not, but your eyes are like wonderful pools of liquid, just waiting for some daring soul to explore the depths of them. There is so much behind your eyes, that I am moved to wonder, trying to guess what you are thinking.

The moment that will ever live in my memory is when you let me lay my hand on your cheek as we sat on that bench together planning a trip to the Cascade Mountains in Oregon. We stopped talking for such a long time that the entire universe seemed to stand still and wait on our next move. As I moved nearer to you and pressed my lips to yours, I felt the thrill of doing something I have only dreamed about for so very long. Your tender moist lips drew me into you and my mind reeled with excitement, knowing that I finally was where I wanted to be, with you, in a private setting, kissing those wonderful lips.

Perhaps soon we can really find ourselves in this scene. Until then, I will dream of our walk in the woods.
